3.0

Posted by jew193 Jun. 29, 2008 @ 11:58 PM EDT

Well, this semester I got a 3.0. Which means I will finally get my drivers license. YAY. Also, if my school weighted grades, then I would've had like 3.4 or something because I took three AP classes this year. Also, if I passed my AP English test with a three or higher, which I think I got at least a three on, maybe a four, then my English teacher'll boost the B I got to an A. OH YEAH!!

Ok, I just realized that that's wrong. The part about my teacher changing my grade from a B to an A. She changes the grade from whichever semester you get the lower grade in. And because I got a C first semester, she'll most likely change that to a B, which is still helpful, so I'm not complaining.

AP Tests

Posted by jew193 May. 5, 2008 @ 10:03 AM EDT

Dang. I'm taking three AP tests this week. In order; Spanish, English Literature, and US History.

Spanish is going to be hard, seeing as we have to write a 250 word essay on some subject I am probably not familiar with. Then we have to do a formal and informal speaking portion, where, for the informal, you have a conversation with a recording. That is, they say something, and you have 20 seconds to respond appropriately. For the formal speaking part, you are given a question and one or two written sources(fuentes) and one audio source. You then have to speak for two minutes about whatever you just read or heard. And Spanish is on Tuesday, which is tomorrow.

On to English. The English is probably going to be hard just because you have to write i think three essays. Ill lay it out. I am a horrible essayist. On the other hand, I have a larger vocabulary than most people i know(not a euphemism) English is on Thursday.

And now, APUSH( US History) will probably be my easiest test, if for no other reason than because the other ones are harder. Even though its been said that the APUSH test is the hardest AP test of the all, i think history is an easy subject and know most of what we talk about in class. And APUSH is on Friday.

So wish me luck with my tests. also i just took the SAT on Saturday. it was ridiculously easy. and my friends dad said that he will take whoever gets better than a 1700 on it to Six Flags Magic Mountain.

THE GREATEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

too bad nobody is going to read all of this

but seriously. last September i want to a concert with Rise Against, Silverstein, Comeback Kid, and some others i can't remember. it was awesome. but the Taste of Chaos blew it out of the fuckin water.

for those who have no idea what J-rock is, it means Japanese Rock. in other words, a "J-rock" band is a rock band from Japan

when we got there the line was really long, and they were giving out free rockstars, so me and my friends got a bunch of free drinks.

the lineup was as follows;

Planes Crash; pretty good, after they played, the lead singer said their cd was on sale in one of the concessions stands. me and my friends all chipped in to buy it, but it wasn't there. gay. that didn't detract from their performance, however, just my opinion of concessions stands

next was another band that was pretty good(can't remember their name now, ill edit this later when i do) they're from Alaska, also, so...

next was the first J-rock band, D'espairsray. they were really good, way better than i had anticipated. my friend and i chipped in to buy their cd after the show. can't wait for him to let me borrow it so i can give it a listen

then was Idiot Pilot; gayest band ever. while they were playing, everyone was holding up their middle fingers, including yours truly. and in the middle of one of their songs, the lead singer stopped, and pointed out one guy in particular holding up his middle finger. the lead singer was like, "dang, you look sexy, holding up that finger, i can just imagine it all lubed up. and i like guys with a little meat on their bones", ( i swear im not making any of this up.)(also, i guess the guy was fat, i couldn't see him from where i was) and said he could imagine how much strength he probably had behind that finger. (still real) and then i guess the guy said something, and the lead singer said if you're gonna shoot me, make it your cum shot in my eye. (so gay, but still not making it up) and then the lead singer jumped into the crowd and crowd surfed, and everybody just dropped him on the ground. hard. best part of their show. and me and my friend agreed that they had the name idiot pilot cuz people want them to have an idiot pilot and crash and die. now lets continue and forget about that douchefag

Then was the second J-rock band, Mucc. they were really good also, and the lead singer was dressed up like a character from One Piece. it was cool. it was also cool because for one of the songs their bassist switched his bass for a cello(i think, could have been something else.) but they were really good, and their guitarist looked badass.

After Mucc was the third J-rock band, The Underneath. they were in the middle, not too good, but not bad either.

And then, all hell broke loose when the Bullet for my Valentine banner came up. previously, it was relatively crowded, but you could still move around. as soon as they came up on stage, every single damn body in the whole arena pushed forward. and since i had made the bad decision of wearing flats that have no laces, that were kind of loose, i was afraid of losing them. i almost did to, but i managed to hold on to them. i had to slide my feet along the ground because if i lifted them up then they would have fallen off. but enough about my shoes, even though they're comfy as hell. Bullet was fuckin sick. by the way, they're from south wales. they were amazing, and they were the first band to have a mosh pit. i got in on a few, but was mostly listening to the music. and i don't know why, maybe it was because my ears were fucked up from the loud music, or maybe it was the Matt Tuck's(lead singer) British accent, or the mic. distortion, i don't know, but he sounded like a demon(only when he was talking, not when he was singing). kind of sounded like rubber johnny if you've ever seen the video. but that didn't matter, cuz they were awesome. i think that everybody moshed the hardest when they played scream, aim, fire, and tears don't fall. it was amazing. only bad thing was that my friend got in a mosh pit, and was about to get out when he got elbowed in the back of the head. on to the next band

Then Bless the Fall played. they were really good, unfortunately me and my friends were meeting back up and had gone to look for stuff, so we missed some of their songs. but what we were there for was really good. unfortunately, they didn't have too much moshing or crowd surfing, also, after Atreyu, we got to meet them and get our stuff signed. they seemed like really chill guys, to so... it was cool

After them was Atreyu, who was also sick as hell. they played a bunch of badass songs, and at one point told everybody in the crowd to make 2 circle pits(mosh pits), and i got in some of them. i also went crowd surfing, and the first time i went about 9 feet and got dropped down, but it was on my feet, so it was fine. the second time i went crowd surfing, i got all the way to the front and got dropped over the rails, but thanks to my awesome ninja skills, i managed to land on my feet. i kind of feel sorry for everyone that i went past cuz i got dropped a couple of times, but since there were so many people, i just landed on their heads. and my hair got pulled a couple of times, but that didn't matter. i was literally 5 feet from the stage, but i couldn't go on it because there were security guards everywhere. it was fuckin amazing. i had to go all the way around, and i high fived everyone in the front, and felt awesome. but finding my friends was a bitch, cuz i gave my glasses to one of my friends so that they wouldn't get crushed, and so i couldn't see very well. I'm not blind without my glasses, but in a dark room full of people wearing mostly black, its hard to find the people that you're looking for. but eventually i found them, and was fucking rocking out. i think 4 of my friends crowd surfed all the way up to the front. and it was funny because after the song where they had asked for 2 circle pits, i guess there were four, and Alex Varkatzas(lead singer) was like "wow, four pits, that twice the amount we asked for. You rock long beach!!!!!!!!!!!!! also, Atreyu is from SoCal (southern California for those idiots who don't know) so they kind of talked about that on stage.

they were the second to last band, and so after them there was a kind of intermission, where everybody met up again,(mosh pits make you seperate from your bros easily) and we went looking at the stuff in the concessions stands. a bunch of my friends got shirts, and got them signed by a bunch of bands also. my friends little brother got his shirt signed by Bless the Fall, Mucc, and i think D'espairsray. he was lucky as fuck. we were just messing around and talking until we thought the headliner, Avenged Sevenfold, was about to come up. we wanted to get a good spot, close to the stage and near a camera, because Avenged was filming this concert for a live DVD, and we wanted to be on it.

and then they showed kind of a short video with the members of A7X (Avenged Sevenfold) messing around, and then they put up a giant timer counting down from 10 minutes began, and everybody began cheering. it was sick. after the 10 minutes was up, they showed another video, kind of a montage of the troops in Iraq, and then they came on stage. when they started playing, it was fuckin awesome. everybody went crazy, and was singing along. when they played the beast the and harlot, me and my friends were just rocking the fuck out. and it was really cool, because after one of the songs they were going to play a Pantera song, and since M. Shadows said that his voice hurt, he chose some random guy from the crowd to sing to song. his name was Matteo, and he is one lucky fucker. after the song, he was about to go back into the crowd and M. Shadows was like "hey bro, where are you going bro? you can stay up here." and i was like "oh shit" that guy is soo lucky. also, Zacky Vengeance is left handed, also, which makes him even cooler. just saying. bat country was even better, and we got in a few mosh pits. strangely, A7X had the least amount of mosh pits, maybe because everybody was too busy singing along and listening to their awesomeness. and then they finished, and everybody was chanting for "one more song" and then a video started playing with all the members of A7X in a jacuzzi drinking and talking, and then some guy came up (maybe a roadie) and was like "hey, those people out there want you to play another song", and so they got out of the jacuzzi and the last guy that got out was naked (it was censored but funny nonetheless). so they came back out and finished with A Little Piece of Heaven. so great. then it was over.

after the concert they were still giving out free rockstars, so we got some more, and waited for my mom to pick us up. after an ordeal with my mom getting lost, we finally got together, and we all went to Tommy's. for those of you who don't know, Tommy's is a restaurant that serves the greatest chili burgers ever. we went there after the aforementioned Rise Against concert, also at the Long Beach Arena, and so its kind of like a tradition now. when we got there, it was closed, but luckily, the drive-through was open, so we went through there. we were going to go through and just eat the food in the parking lot, but while we were waiting in the drive-through, we heard like 5 gunshots, so we took the food, and ate in a parking lot near my friends house. it was heavenly, and i felt really good after finishing my triple chili cheeseburger. then we dropped my friends off at one of their houses, and i went home.

and my ears are still ringing from the concert, and i don't even give a shit

and thus ends the saga of the greatest concert ever

PS. also, during the concert they had this one advertisement for another rockstar sponsored tour; the Mayhem Festival, which was going to have Slipknot as the headliner along with Disturbed, Dragonforce, Underoath, Five Finger Death Punch(badass name), Black Tide, Sevendust, Mastodon, 36 Crazy Fists, and Airbourne. i want to go to that so bad. SO BAD!! only problem is, they're not having a concert at the Long Beach Arena, which would be the easiest for me to get to.
